BEHIND THE DEAL: Pure DC's E1.3bn Finnish AI campus financing

Pure DC recently confirmed E1.3bn of committed senior debt against Phase 1 of its Seinäjoki AI campus (SJK01) in Finland, closing out a process TMT Finance had been exclusively reporting on for months.

Not only did subscribers have early access to the outcome, but also the customer, the advisor and the lending group behind it, with over 12 proprietary data points revealed months before they became public including banks, advisors, tenants, locations, debt quantum and more

The financing was arranged across five mandated lead arrangers: SMBC, ABN Amro, Citi, Société Générale and Natixis CIB.

Nordic AI infrastructure: a market TMT Finance is tracking deal by deal

Pure DC's financing is one of several live processes TMT Finance has been following across the Nordic datacentre market in recent months, as developers race to secure sites and power capacity across Finland, Sweden and Norway, and lenders compete for exposure to the sector. Since June 2026, some of the headlines subscribers saw included:

The Nordics have become a focal point for activity for clear reasons with abundant renewable power and available land supporting the multiple-hundred MW scale needed for AI workloads. Hyperscalers and the developers building on their behalf are moving into the region in parallel, often before it's clear which sites, campuses or customer commitments will actually convert into financed, under-construction projects.

Not every land purchase or expansion plan becomes a live financing process, and not every stated intention has a customer, a lender or an advisor attached yet. TMT Finance is in touch with the market, distinguishing which headlines remain intentions and which are converting into mandates, term sheets and signed facilities, so subscribers can see the full picture of activity across the region rather than piecing it together deal by deal as announcements land.
