JPMorgan and Milbank Headline TMT Finance’s First Global Digital Infrastructure Loans League Tables
TMT Finance has published its inaugural Global Loans League Tables, expanding its debt market coverage to rank the leading institutions shaping digital infrastructure lending across the US, Europe and Asia Pacific.
The H1 2026 edition spans 60 league tables, covering both value and volume across all digital infrastructure loans and dedicated datacentre, fibre and towers financing. Institutions are ranked across Bookrunner, Mandated Arranger, Arranger and Legal Advisor roles, with up to 20 leading firms recognised in each category across global and regional cuts.
Key Highlights:
- JPMorgan topped the Global Bookrunner and Arranger league tables by deal value, credited with US$12.3bn and US$11.9bn of digital infrastructure loan volume respectively in H1 2026
- MUFG led the Global Bookrunner table by number of deals (28), while SMBC topped the Global Mandated Arranger table by deal count (13)
- Milbank led the Global Legal Advisor rankings by value with US$26.6bn of credited deal value (19.1% market share); Latham & Watkins topped the table by number of mandates (26)
- The Americas remained the largest market by far, with US$114.4bn of bookrunner-credited loan volume across 53 transactions, ahead of Europe (US$31.8bn, 27 deals) and Asia Pacific (US$6bn, 12 deals)
The launch of the Global Loans League Tables reflects the accelerating scale and sophistication of the digital infrastructure financing market worldwide, driven by sustained investment in datacentres, fibre networks, towers and next-generation connectivity platforms. As capital requirements rise alongside demand from cloud, AI and enterprise digitalisation, debt markets have become an increasingly critical component of infrastructure funding strategies in every region.
“Publishing our first Global Loans League Tables is a significant milestone for TMT Finance,” said Maisie Clarke, Editor and Head of Debt Coverage at TMT Finance. “Digital infrastructure financing is no longer a US story - lenders and legal advisors across Europe and Asia Pacific are now competing for mandates on some of the largest datacentre, fibre and towers financings in the market. Extending our coverage globally gives dealmakers, for the first time, a consistent view of who is truly leading this market, wherever the deal is happening.”
“These league tables are built entirely from TMT Finance’s proprietary transaction data, tracked and verified deal-by-deal across every market we cover,” said Ross Ford, Head of Data at TMT Finance. “With TMT Finance capturing 216 Loan deals that closed in H1 2026, worth over US$266bn, expanding to 60 tables across the Americas, Europe and Asia Pacific highlights TMT Finance’s deep coverage of the digital infrastructure loans market. The result is a far more granular, and more accurate, picture of who is really driving digital infrastructure lending globally by value, by volume and by role.”
The H1 2026 edition marks the first global phase of TMT Finance’s expanding debt market coverage. The company plans to continue publishing Loans League Tables on a half-yearly cycle, with further deepening of regional and category coverage in future editions.
