Digital Infra Investment Review H1 2026

Key findings:

  • Global M&A held steady on volume, surged on value – 345 deals (+6% YoY) worth US$189bn (+67% YoY), with average global deal value at US$1.6bn.
  • Datacentres dominated deal count; Telecoms overweighted on value – Datacentres captured 56% of deals and 67% of value; Telecoms delivered 25% of value from just 17% of deals.
  • USA leads globally – Americas took 50% of M&A volume and 71% of value; the USA alone closed 154 deals (45% of volume) worth US$125.8bn.
  • Pipeline signals a more balanced H2 – 225 deals worth US$211bn, with Americas, Europe and APAC each converging on roughly a third of value – driven by strong APAC pipeline.
  • Global Debt outpaced M&A – 216 deals worth US$266.5bn, up 47% YoY by volume and 106% YoY by value.
