Steven was Chief Executive Officer and President of RigNet prior to its acquisition by Viasat. Before joining RigNet, Steven was the Chief Executive Officer and President of 21st Century Towers, a new entrant in the wireless infrastructure market. Steven also served as Chief Executive Officer of North America's second largest tower construction and maintenance company, WesTower Communications which was acquired by MasTec (NYSE). Prior to WesTower, Steven was the Chief Executive Officer and President of Telmar Network Technology, until its sale to Jabil Circuits (NYSE). Steven's other roles included Senior Vice President/General Manager of Alcatel-Lucent's Optical Network Division and Vice President of Sales at Alcatel.

During his time at Telmar and Westower, Steven served at QuEST Forum, an industry non-profit, as a Board Member, chairman and then chair emeritus. He holds a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from Tufts University and a Master of Business Administration degree from The Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.
