The Role
• The role sits within the Investment Banking Technology, Media and Telecom (TMT) Coverage Team in Europe.
• The group works closely with other parts of the Investment Banking division in servicing large corporates with primary focus in providing strategic and M&A advisory and capital market and financing solutions.
• Be responsible for leading focused streams of work around specific client needs and supporting Directors or Managing Directors in developing tactical plans within the broader GCIB strategic mandate.
• Need to have the knowledge and experience relevant to conduct transactions and help support the team in origination assignments.
• The specific job would also require relevant knowledge in the European online space and info-services/education sectors in addition to a broad understanding of general TMT dynamics.

The Requirements
• Understanding and experience of TMT dynamics with specific knowledge of the European online space and info-services/education sector
• Track record of achievement within Investment Banking at a top tier Investment Bank
• Strong analytical, numerical skills, and Financial modelling skills essential and required
• Extensive knowledge of financial valuation / modelling training; industry specific accounting
• Fluency in English is essential and a second language beneficial
• Meticulous attention to detail, diligence and conscientiousness
• Strong interpersonal communication skills
• Demonstrable ability to understand financing needs, match client needs with the most appropriate product / service
• Business Results: Client relationships, Analytical ability, Execution
• Self-motivated, tenacious and able to work with high degree of independence
• Passion in striving for business excellence, energetic and dynamic in style

• Degree Educated, 2:1 degree (or equivalent), preferably in a numerical discipline such as economics or finance
