Telstra reshuffles management team

Telstra announced its new organisational structure and leadership team as part of its Telstra 2022 strategy, which was disclosed in June.

Brendon Riley, who currently is group executive, Telstra Enterprise, will become the CEO of Telstra InfraCo, a newly-established infrastructure division.

David Burns has been appointed as group executive Global Business Services on July 30, 2018. In this role he is responsible for creating a simplified business model and bringing together support services, service operations and enablement functions. All focused on improving customer service, efficiency and service levels.

Robyn Denholm will move from COO to the role of CFO & head of Strategy. She will support the CEO to drive the company’s overall strategy and deliver long term shareholder value growth.

Michael Ebeid, who has most recently been CEO and managing director of Australia’s broadcaster SBS, will join Telstra to run the Enterprise team servicing Australian and international business and government customers with market-leading solutions and services. Ebeid will start at Telstra on 8 October.

Meanwhile Telstra plans to establish a new product and technology division focused on developing an integrated product and technology roadmap for the entire company. The leader of this division has been appointed and will be named shortly.

Telstra also announced four senior leaders will leave the telco: current CFO Warwick Bray, Group Executive for Technology, Innovation and Strategy Stephen Elop, Group Executive of Telstra Wholesale Will Irving, and CMO and Group Executive for Media Joe Pollard.

Apart from Ebeid and Burns, all the changes will be effective from October 1, 2018.
