Tim Crowhurst is Senior Vice President, Head of Corporate Development for Cognizant (NASDAQ: CTSH). In this capacity, Tim is focused on establishing a programmatic M&A capability at Cognizant in order to complement Cognizant’s organic growth program and expand its operations in growth verticals, lines of service and geographies.

Tim joined Cognizant in 2017. His background includes thirteen years of M&A and strategic advisory experience at Goldman Sachs as well as several years of hands-on operating and acquisition integration experience in the Technology, Media and Telecom space.

At Goldman Sachs, Tim was a Managing Director in the Technology, Media and Telecom Group where he advised on such notable transactions as the $3B acquisition of Interactive Data by Silver Lake and Warburg Pincus, the $6B acquisition of Dow Jones by News Corp, the $0.7B acquisition of Rosetta by Publicis, the $2B acquisition of Grey by WPP, the $0.2B acquisition of IAG Research by Nielsen, the acquisition of Massive by Microsoft and the $14B merger of NBC and Universal, among over a dozen other significant TMT M&A transactions. At Goldman Sachs, Tim also covered the Advertising and Marketing Services sector and held various staff responsibilities in the M&A Group relating to strategy and business practices.

After Goldman Sachs, Tim founded White Oak, an independent merchant banking and advisory practice, and subsequently held senior roles at two White Oak portfolio companies, SFX Entertainment and WHI, Inc.  As an operator, Tim has variously been responsible for integrating digital acquisitions, meeting revenue and cost synergy goals, building out a strategic sales function, and delivering integrated, multi-platform marketing solutions across a portfolio of digital and live entertainment assets.

Tim holds an AB degree in economics from The University of Chicago.
