Mark has over 20 years’ experience in the finance industry, specialising in infrastructure financing, financial and business operations, and business strategy. With experience in a number of senior roles within Macquarie Group, an Australian-headquartered financial institution, as well as in his own consulting practice, he has had a track record of raising capital for infrastructure funds and projects, managing the financial affairs of complex businesses, as well as transforming rapidly growing businesses into sustainable operations. 

Mark’s most recent role at Macquarie was as the first Chief Operating Officer of Macquarie's Corporate Lending division, a business managing US$10 billion of corporate loans and bespoke equity investments. In this role, he led a cross-discipline team responsible for all non-credit aspects of the business, bringing best practice to the operations and finance functions for the business. Prior to that, he created and was Chief Financial and Operating Officer of a number of private equity funds in North America investing in infrastructure assets, raising over US$6 billion for these funds, and leading acquisitions and managing investments made by these funds in the energy, transportation and telecommunications sectors. 

Mark holds a Bachelor of Economics from Macquarie University in Sydney, and is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries of Australia.
