photo of Thomas TschentscherThomas Tschentscher has been a partner of the firm since 1993 and works in our Düsseldorf and Frankfurt offices. He is a member of the intellectual property and information technology (IP/IT) practice group and specialises in German and EU telecommunications and media law as well as administrative and constitutional law. He advises leading international telecoms, media and infrastructure operators as well as strategic and financial investors in national and cross-border transactions and on all strategic operational matters, including network infrastructure, frequency allocation, tariff regulation and commercial agreements.

Thomas also permanently represents national and international telecom operators as well as media and IT companies in administrative and constitutional law procedures in front of regulatory authorities, German and EU courts and the EU-Commission.

Thomas was born in Bonn, Germany, in 1960. He completed his legal education from the universities of London (UK), Bonn and Munich (Germany) from which he holds a Doctor of Laws degree (Dr iur). He received a Master of Laws (LL M) degree from the University of Virginia School of Law. He is author of numerous publications on media, telecoms, administrative and constitutional law issues and co-author of “Telecommunication Law in Germany”. Thomas is ranked as leading telecommunications and media regulatory and transactions lawyer i.e. in Chambers Global 2008 and JUVE 2007/08.
