Tarek Tantawy, Vice President & CFO, Telecom Egypt

Mr. Tantawy was appointed Vice President and CFO in July 2007. Prior to this he held the position of Director of Investment, Treasury & Investor Relations since 2006. He has been with the company since 2002 as the General Manager for Investment, Investor Relations and Financial Planning. Before joining Telecom Egypt, Mr. Tantawy held the position of Assistant Vice President at Sigma Capital Investment Banking where he was engaged in several visible corporate finance transactions. He also held the position of Senior Consultant at FinRate Consulting in the Corporate Finance Division.

Mr. Tantawy holds a Masters in Business Administration from Edinburgh Business School (Heriott Watt University) in the UK and B.Sc. in Construction Engineering from the American University in Cairo. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and a member of CFA Institute.
