JASSEM MOHAMED AL ZAABI, CEO, YAHSAT

 

photo of Jassem Mohamed Al ZaabiJassem Mohamed Al Zaabi is the CEO of Yahsat, an Abu Dhabi based satellite communications company. Yahsat is the first hybrid (commercial and government) satellite communication system to be launched in the region.

Jassem joined Yahsat’s parent company Mubadala Development Company in September 2004 and also holds the position of associate director in the Aviation Unit of Mubadala.

Prior to Mubadala, Jassem worked for over a year with the UAE Offsets Group, actively involved in technology and industrial projects development. Jassem also worked with Thuraya Satellite Telecommunication Company for four years as Business Development Area Manager for the GCC region and Egypt.

Today, Jassem serves on the Boards of Emirates Telecommunication Integrated Company (du), Abu Dhabi Media Authority and the UAE’s federal ICT fund. He holds a bachelor degree in business administration.
