photo of Ghassan MuradGhassan Murad has a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, followed by an MSc and a PhD in Control Engineering (United Kingdom). Further, he followed several corporate finance-related and telecommunications courses/seminars over the years.

Dr. Ghassan Murad has over 10 years of experience in leading inorganic new business development and M&A transactional activities throughout the Middle East and North African region.

In 1996, he started working for Bahrain Telecommunications Company (“Batelco”) as Senior Manager, Major New Business Development. In this capacity, Dr. Ghassan Murad has been involved in managing and structuring Data Communications and Mobile license bids in the Middle East, actively involved in a number of successful acquisitions of buying companies in Internet, Data Communications and Mobile, and held Board positions in several of Batelco’s subsidiaries.

Currently, he is Head of Mergers and Acquisitions (Middle East and Africa) at Batelco.
