GHASSAN HASBANI, VICE PRESIDENT, BOOZ ALLEN HAMILTON

A Booz Allen Hamilton Vice President, Ghassan Hasbani supports the firm’s global communications and technology business. He is based in Beirut and Riyadh.

Mr. Hasbani has extensive experience in the telecommunications sector and has led a number of engagements related to:

• Telecommunications markets assessment
• Investment strategies
• Technology strategies
• Mergers and acquisitions
• Marketing
• Product and service development
• Organization restructuring and governance
• Channel strategy and management
• Business development

Ms. Hasbani and his team were recognized with the Professional Excellence Award (PEA), Booz Allen’s highest honor for outstanding customer service, for their work with Saudi Telecom in 2002.

He has contributed to a broad scope of projects at the firm, including:

• Transformation and privatization of a major incumbent telecommunications operator, leading to a very successful public offering
• Development of an investment strategy for an integrated telecommunications operator, followed by due diligence and acquisition support with a US$3 billion transaction value
• Planning and management of the merger of nine retail and distribution companies in the same marketing, including post-merger integration

Prior to joining Booz Allen, Mr. Hasbani held positions with Nortel Networks and Cable & Wireless in Europe. He is a Chartered Engineer, a member of the U.K.’s Institution of Engineering and Technology, and authored two books, Making Great Presentations and Winning Presentations.

A graduate of Hull University, where he earned an MBA, Mr. Hasbani also has a bachelor’s degree in engineering with honors from the University of Westminster, U.K.
