Vimpelcom appoints Group Finance and M&A exec

Vimpelcom has announced that Elena Shmatova will join VimpelCom's finance team in Amsterdam as Group Director Business Control, Development and M&A, reporting to Chief Financial Officer, Henk Van Dalen.Shmatova’s previous position as head of Vimplecom’s Russia business unit will be taken on by Anton Kudryashovwho joins Vimplecom from CTC Media where he was CEO. Kudryashov will also take on the title of General Director of OJSC VimpelCom, and as a member of the Management Board of VimpelCom. Kudryashov previously worked at CS First Boston international investment bank, and later became one of the founding partners of Renaissance Capital investment bank.
