Cambodia’s Mfone to get new CEO

SuttisakKhndhikajanawill take over as CEO ofembattled Cambodian mobile operator Mfone in February, AtipRittaporn, managing director of Mfone’s holding company Shenington Investments, told reporters. Khndhikajanacomes from Advanced Info Service, Thailand’s largest mobile operator by subscriber numbers. AIS and Mfoneare subsidiaries of Thai conglomerate Shin Corporation.Mfone’s previous CEO resigned in October. The operator lost 380,000 subscribers in the eight months to November 2011, leaving it with 690,000. The fifth ranked operator is seen as “for sale” but it has not received sufficiently attractive offers.
